Our name reflects the fun, creative, and informative content we provide on multiple platforms. Kyn is a variation on the spelling of kin, which means a person of common ancestry. It also happens to be our founder’s middle name. Folk relates to culture of a community. It is that communality seen in stories that connects us all.

Founder Rome K. Neal has more than two decades experience working with startups, academic institutions, and corporations. He leads a team with backgrounds that encompasses academia, news, documentary, commercial, and corporate videos.
Partner Edwin Mathieu has over 15 years of experience managing digital assets at St. Francis College and NYU. As a key architect behind the College’s first mobile-responsive website, he increased site traffic, lowered bounce rates, and enhanced user experience. He has led various digital initiatives at both St. Francis and NYU, driving strategy, app development, and data compliance. Edwin is proficient in analytics, marketing strategy, and web accessibility, ensuring that all digital platforms meet the highest standards of functionality, security, and user engagement.
